EVA vs PUR vs Laser Edgebanding: Which Is Best?

There is no universal “best”. EVA is the default for dry interior furniture. PUR is the industrial answer when kitchens, bathrooms or export climates need moisture and heat resistance and a thinner glue line. Laser / airtronic systems can approach a zero glue line but sit at a different capital cost; YongMao’s current automatic catalogue is built around glue-pot and PUR-ready machines, not a laser head.

How to choose
- If your doors stay indoors and you change colours often, EVA plus a dual glue pot (see YM-465D / YM-468JD) is the practical path.
- If the edge will be touched, washed or exported to a humid market, budget PUR — not a cheaper EVA and a hope.
- If a buyer’s drawing says “laser edge”, do not assume a glue-pot machine can fake it. Ask us what we build versus what to source elsewhere.
